The city is home to the European headquarters of the United Nations and many International Organizations’ headquarters, serving as the central hub of their global activities. Geneva hosts hundreds of international meetings and conferences with delegations from around the world.

Semana de Estudos ( Study Week) is an educational and training project created to offer Brazilian students and professionals the opportunity to visit and learn about several agencies of theUN European headquarters located in Geneva.

Participants gain a unique and distinctive experience of interaction and immersion.

The program is customized for each group according to their interests and consists of conferences (up to six per day) led by United Nations staff, specialized agency personnel, diplomats, and representatives of international governmental and non-governmental organizations.

Lectures and activities cover topics such as: Environment, Telecommunications, Sustainable Development, Humanitarian Aid, Intellectual Property, International Trade, Health, Human Rights, Green Economy, Refugees.

Participants visit the following agencies as part of this exclusive program: Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR); United Nations Development Programme (UNDP); United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP); International Telecommunication Union (ITU); World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO); International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC); United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR); World Trade Organization (WTO);World Health Organization (WHO);Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders)
